On September 22, 2020, the USAID Southern Africa Trade and Investment Hub handed over three laptops to Zambia’s Ministry of Commerce Trade and Industry (MCTI) to support the ministry’s continued sustainability plan for the USAID TradeHub-developed Zambia Trade Information Portal (ZTIP). The MCTI permanent secretary officiated the handover event, which included both virtual and in-person participation. The USAID TradeHub provided technical assistance with the launch of the ZTIP trade portal on May 29, 2020. The portal is an online platform that includes information on the transit of goods into and out of Zambia. A centerpiece of USAID assistance to Zambia, the portal is a requirement of the World Trade Organization’s Trade Facilitation Agreement with the country.
